Psalm 150 – Let All Things Praise the LORD

Published June 29, 2024 by Rev. Pete Van't Hoff in Devotions

In light of many, and like no other, Psalm 150 is a psalm of praise! Compacted within this 6-verse-psalm we find the word “praise” 13 times. As many of the other Psalms of Praise, this last psalm book ends itself with “Praise the Lord!” As all of Scripture glorifies God, this psalm calls us to praise Him gloriously. Here’s the entire psalm. May it be your song to sing. May your life be filled with praise to Him!

1 Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
    praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
    praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Praise him with trumpet sound;
    praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
    praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
    praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

As the Lord Jesus Christ taught us to pray, let us pray.

Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Praise the Lord!
